Our premises are in the midst of Umbria's true heaven, Castelluccio di Norcia, small village 1453 mt. high, under Mount Vettore's peak (2478 m) and in the heart of Monti Sibillini National Park.
Overlooking Piano Grande, Piano Piccolo and Pian Perduto plateaus, covering about 20 square km., this tiny village shows a series of narrow and winding streets, linking different parts of the settlement.
Houses are tightly close one another: in this very heart of the village comes agritourism La Locanda De' Senari, arised from remains of old barns under Santa Maria Assunta's church. This building has been carefully restored to keep intact the distinctive feeling of old.
Our homely run agritourism is in a multi-storey building. On the ground floor is restaurant room: we are strongly committed to traditional countryside recipes, made by the owners themselves. On the first floor are 5 bedrooms, each named after a local flower: easy rooms, with a furniture that has simplicity, yet style.
In Locanda De' Senari we are extremely dedicated to food quality and freshness: we mainly use raw products from our farm: meat from homegrown cattle, fresh ricotta cheese daily made, local salami and delicious cheese; not to mention spelt ("farro"), wheat and the very queens of this land, Castelluccio's lentils.
Ms. Mariella offers guests a rich, traditional cooking where everything is home-made.
